About Dr. Seghers
I am radically growth-oriented.
I believe people know more and are capable of more than they realize. My greatest strength as a therapist and coach is helping clients develop and maximize their own innate abilities.
Clients often come to me facing distress or confusion. I focus on the opportunities hidden within life’s challenges. Difficult experiences often point the way toward healing, growth, and self-actualization. Helping clients discover and act on these potentials is the most rewarding part of my work.
As a licensed clinical psychologist and life coach, I use evidence-based methods rooted in positive psychology. My approach is holistic, considering thoughts, beliefs, feelings, behaviors, spirituality, physical activity, and nutrition. I emphasize context, process, balance, and big-picture thinking.
I integrate diverse techniques tailored to each client, drawing from psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral (CBT), Gestalt, constructivist, and humanistic approaches. Recently, I have incorporated mindfulness and acceptance-based strategies, which I find highly effective.
